Accountabilities:
- Lead the scientific development and quality oversight of medical communications deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client strategy.
- Partner with Scientific Directors and account teams to translate client objectives into scientifically rigorous, audience-appropriate content and communication plans.
- Guide, mentor, and review the work of medical writers to elevate overall content quality and ensure adherence to scientific and editorial standards.
- Collaborate with clients, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders to shape scientific narratives across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Support and contribute to advisory boards, regulatory/MLR review processes, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Identify scientific insights, competitive intelligence, and therapeutic trends to enhance content relevance and strategic direction.
- Participate in business growth initiatives, including proposal development and support for new client opportunities when needed.
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, or PharmD required).
- 2–3+ years of experience in a medical communications agency or similar scientific content environment.
- Strong background in scientific/medical writing and content development across multiple formats (e.g., publications, slide decks, congress materials).
- Excellent ability to interpret complex clinical data and translate it into clear, accurate, and engaging scientific narratives.
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients, and key opinion leaders.
- Demonstrated leadership potential, including experience mentoring writers or contributing to team development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory/MLR processes and therapeutic landscape analysis is highly desirable.
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 – $140,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
