Position Summary

HP is seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Operations Executive t to support the growth and operational management of HP Dimension with Google Beam, HP's groundbreaking 3D immersive collaboration solution.

The successful candidate will drive strategic business insights, forecasting, category analytics, pricing analysis, profitability modeling, pipeline management, demand planning, and executive reporting. This role will help shape market goals, influence investment decisions, and support long-range planning for one of HP's most strategic innovation businesses.

The ideal candidate combines advanced analytics capabilities with strong business acumen and the ability to influence executive decisions through data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Performance Analytics

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive HP Dimension business reporting.
  • Analyze:
    • Revenue performance
    • Market performance
    • Product performance
    • Customer trends
    • Channel performance
  • Identify growth opportunities and business risks.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to category leadership.

Goal Setting & Market Planning

  • Support annual and quarterly market target setting.
  • Build data-driven sales objectives and growth plans.
  • Develop market performance scorecards.
  • Analyze performance versus targets.
  • Recommend corrective actions where performance gaps exist.

Pricing & Profitability Analytics

  • Conduct detailed pricing analysis.
  • Evaluate:
    • Gross margin performance
    • Net margin trends
    • Discounting effectiveness
    • Competitive pricing position
    • Partner profitability
  • Support pricing strategy development.
  • Provide recommendations to maximize profitability and market competitiveness.

Revenue, Cost & Margin Analysis

  • Monitor trends in:
    • Revenue
    • Cost of goods sold
    • Gross margin
    • Operating contribution
    • Services attachment rates
  • Build executive dashboards highlighting business health.
  • Provide scenario analysis for leadership decision-making.

Product Mix Analytics

  • Analyze product and solution mix performance.
  • Evaluate:
    • Hardware contribution
    • Software contribution
    • Services contribution
    • Market adoption trends
  • Recommend optimal portfolio strategies.

The role will help optimize commercialization of HP Dimension as a complete solution experience, including hardware, software, services, and ecosystem offerings

Funnel & Pipeline Analytics

  • Develop pipeline health reporting.
  • Analyze:
    • Opportunity conversion rates
    • Sales velocity
    • Win/loss trends
    • Forecast accuracy
    • Pipeline sufficiency
  • Partner closely with HP Dimension BDMs and market sales teams.
  • Provide early warning indicators and growth opportunities.

Business Management & Category Operations

  • Manage recurring business reviews.
  • Build executive-level reporting packages.
  • Support:
    • Monthly Business Reviews
    • Quarterly Business Reviews
    • Annual Operating Plans
    • Strategic Planning Cycles
  • Track business deliverables and performance commitments.

Forecasting & Business Planning

  • Develop:
    • Revenue forecasts
    • Market forecasts
    • Demand forecasts
    • Multi-year growth projections
  • Construct business scenarios supporting strategic decision making.
  • Create best-case, expected-case, and risk-adjusted planning models.

Demand & Supply Planning Analytics

  • Support forecast alignment across:
    • Category
    • Operations
    • Supply Chain
    • Sales Organizations
  • Identify supply risks and demand gaps.
  • Develop contingency planning models.
  • Recommend mitigation actions to maximize business outcomes.

Long Range Planning

  • Support development of:
    • Annual budgets
    • Multi-year operating plans
    • Market investment plans
    • Quota allocation models
    • Business growth strategies

The role will help support business expansion planning as HP Dimension adoption grows across markets and customer segments.

Strategic Analytics & Special Projects

  • Lead highly complex analytical projects.
  • Perform market landscape analysis.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Support business case creation.
  • Develop executive presentations and recommendations.
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and new market expansion.

Risk Management & Scenario Planning

  • Monitor business milestones and key performance deliverables.
  • Develop contingency planning models.
  • Evaluate risks to:
    • Revenue attainment
    • Capacity planning
    • Market expansion
    • Forecast commitments
  • Recommend mitigation plans.

Executive Communications

  • Create executive-ready dashboards and presentations.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
