Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Chateau on the Park Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Window Cleaner, you carry out window cleaning duties to maintain all hotel windows in the best possible condition under the general direction and guidance of the Executive Housekeeper and within the limits of established Hotel and local policies and procedures.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
Clean the windows properly and efficiently.
Clean windows to a high standard, enhancing the hotel product.
Assist with room balcony cleaning.
Assist with commercial cleaning when required, eg., filter cleaning.
Report any window surround defects to Executive Housekeeper for repair.
Know and adhere to health and safety, fire and security precautions that operate in the department and in the hotel as specified by the management.
Attend all training courses that may required.
Is fully aware of the hotel’s and local health and safety and fire regulations, and carries them out according to procedures, ensuring that all staff have a comprehensive understanding and adhere to fire, safety and hygiene policies.
Interacts and works with staff from other departments as directed by the management.
Display work environmentally awareness according to Hilton Worldwide.

Workplace Health and Safety Management
- Comply with the Health & Safety policy statement, H&S policies and procedures and the relevant H&S Business Plan.
- Work in a safe manner, providing a safe workplace to all employees.
- Use protective/safety equipment wherever provided and required.
- Accurate and timely reporting of all hazards, incidents and work related injuries
- Participate in any rehabilitation programmes as required.
- Participate in Health & Safety committee meetings as required.
- Undertake workplace audits in accordance with H&S plan.
- Be aware of procedures in the event of emergencies such as fire, bomb, in line with Hotel/Company policy and legislation.
