About the Role
This role is responsible for leading pricing efforts on cross-border customer request and strategic spot quote initiatives, primarily focused on Mexico–U.S.–Canada operations. The Pricing Analyst collaborates with procurement, operations, sales, and account management teams to develop competitive and data-driven pricing proposals that support revenue growth and margin optimization.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Utilize pricing tools to provide pricing back to the customer.
- Identify customer or market trends and make suggestions for account strategy.
- Work closely with various internal teams to ensure both customer and carrier success.
- Interaction with account operations/ general managers for rates matters.
- Analyze historical data, transportation market, and carrier rate trends to formulate competitive rate proposals.
- Develop and maintain lane-level cost models for cross-border and domestic legs, incorporating factors such as border crossing fees, fuel surcharges (FSC), and carrier capacity constraints.
- Utilize internal pricing tools, TMS platforms, and bid management software (e.g., Coupa, Jaggaer, or customer portals) to submit proposals accurately and on time.
- Identify margin improvement opportunities and propose cost-saving solutions such as network consolidations, routing optimization, or modal shifts.
- Support internal reporting needs, including win/loss analysis, rate competitiveness, and bid success rates by corridor and customer segment.
Basic Qualifications
- knowledge of Mexico-U.S. transportation dynamics, including customs processes, border crossing operations, and carrier networks.
- Excellent analytical and Excel modeling skills; proficiency in Power BI, SQL, or Tableau is a plus.
- Solid understanding of transportation cost components (FSC, linehaul, accessorial, etc.).
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple bid deadlines simultaneously.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Preferred Qualifications
