Senior Content Designer, Fintech


You'll lead content strategy and content design for the end-to-end fintech experience across all Expedia Group brands and lines of business, giving travelers clarity and confidence in how they pay, manage, and protect their money when they travel.


This role is a great fit if you:

  • Map content journeys from first tap to resolution, using strong writing craft and systems thinking to create voice, patterns, and frameworks that scale.

  • Focus on the real problem (not just a preferred solution), welcome critique, and bring strong rationale to your work, grounding decisions in research, data, and AI-powered tools to keep raising the bar for travelers and the team.

  • Challenge the status quo when customer outcomes can be better, and collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering to turn complex financial concepts into clear, trustworthy shipped experiences.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end content design across Expedia Group brands, from clarifying problems and mapping journeys through resolution to delivering production-ready content and UX copy.

  • Apply ML- and AI-first thinking to design intelligent, personalized content across journeys and states, safely integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes for travelers and the business.

  • Define and evolve product voice and tone, governing content in the brand style guide and design system so it scales across brands, platforms, and breakpoints.

  • Grow the design system by contributing content patterns, taxonomy, and documentation that improve quality, speed, and consistency across lines of business.

  • Ground content decisions in research and data, using experimentation, content testing, and metric analysis to validate choices, measure impact, and drive iterative improvement.

  • Apply strong information architecture, accessibility, and inclusive-design principles, partnering with design, engineering, and product to ship resilient experiences and challenge the status quo when traveler outcomes can be improved.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, English, Communications, Journalism, Information Systems, HCI, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in content design or UX writing.

  • 7+ years as a Content Designer, UX Writer, or Content Strategist delivering user-centered digital products, with ownership of end-to-end content for features or workflows.

  • Proven ability to independently drive content strategy within a product area or customer journey, collaborating with design, product, and engineering to ship to production.

  • Experience designing content for complex, multi-step journeys or multi-surface experiences (web, mobile web, native app) within a large-scale or multi-domain ecosystem.

  • Track record of influencing roadmaps through content insights, using research, experimentation, and metric analysis to drive improvements, measure impact, and articulate clear rationale for content decisions.

  • Strong skills in content strategy, information architecture, and writing for digital products, including detailed content specifications that support implementation.

  • Experience evolving and contributing to design systems, including reusable content patterns and voice-and-tone guidelines.

  • Proficiency using AI tools and agents in day-to-day content workflows to drive efficiency across exploration, drafting, localization, and handoff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning and executing user research or usability evaluation, and applying research and product data to refine content within a product team.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical partners on constraints, edge cases, and system behaviors, including content for data-rich interfaces, recommendations, or personalization at scale.

  • Experience designing AI-driven content experiences (intelligent suggestions, automation, or conversational interfaces) and safely operating AI/ML-enabled content solutions in real-world products.
