Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) – Overnight 

$25.00–$40.00/hour (DOE) + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)

Full-Time opportunity in Concord, California

Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday | 9:00 PM–7:30 AM | Four 10-hour overnight shifts (4/10 schedule)

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.
  • Serve as the primary nurse for emergency surgical procedures during overnight shifts.
  • Triage emergency patients and provide compassionate support to clients throughout their hospital experience.
  • Partner with veterinarians to perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and advanced procedures.
  • Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, aspirates, and other diagnostic specimens.
  • Assist with advanced imaging and diagnostic procedures.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
  • Work closely with emergency veterinarians, specialists, technicians, and support teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, team-focused hospital culture.

What You Bring

  • Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
  • Minimum of two years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience.
  • Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, CPR, drug calculations, critical patient care, and patient handling.
  • Excellent communication, client service, and organizational skills with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

  • Competitive compensation of $25.00–$40.00/hour based on experience and skill set.
