Global Supply Chain Coordinator
Job Description
Lead and coordinate material operations within the assigned manufacturing area to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely flow of materials in support of production requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, coach, train, develop, and evaluate employees within the assigned area
- Coordinate daily material handling and supply activities to support production schedules and operational requirements
- Monitor and respond to material flow issues, shortages, delivery interruptions, and other operational concerns
- Assist in analyzing and resolving complex manufacturing and material-related problems
- Ensure effective use of resources to meet cost, quality, safety, and schedule objectives
- Administer divisional and corporate policies, procedures, and management systems
- Maintain performance tracking, control systems, budget awareness, and other operational information necessary to monitor business results
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, good housekeeping practices, and applicable local and national labor agreements
- Work in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders outside the immediate work group
- Support forecasting of operational needs within areas of responsibility and establish action plans to ensure completion of assigned objectives
- Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
- Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
- Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
- Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, or Logistics, Engineering or relevant experience.
- Intermediate to advanced English with effective oral and written communication
- Knowledge and experience in Logistics and Manufacturing areas
- Working knowledge of safety, quality, and labor compliance expectations
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational skills in critical activities
- Creative thinking and innovation
- Coordination of multidisciplinary teams
- Teamwork skills
- Effective and assertive communication with teams at different levels of the organization
- Knowledge of MGO system (SAP)
- Knowledge of WMS/PPD/PPS systems
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel. PowerApps and Power BI (desirable)
- Experience working as a people leader, with personnel under their responsibility
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Materials
