Job Details
This position will float between Commack, Centereach, and the St. Charles Campus locations
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity.
- Utilizes proper body mechanics.
- Moving, positioning and transferring patients without assistance or with assistance when needed for patient safety.
- Performs routine diagnostic ultrasound/echo exams and procedures:
- This includes, but not limited to: abdomen, pelvis, major vessels, and small parts (including breast, thyroid, testicular).
- Doppler Studies of Carotid, Abdomen, Pelvis, Small Parts, Peripheral vascular, and Echocardiac exams.
- Assist in breast biopsy procedures.
- May include OR procedures.
- Assist in TEE (Transesophageal) procedures.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness.
- Communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families and the healthcare team in person and via telephone.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent,
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound school.
Licensure/Certification:
- Registered with ARDMS/RDCS or eligible within 6 months of employment is required
Skills:
- Strong breast and general imaging skills
Posted Salary Range
USD $55.65 - USD $61.22 /Hr.This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
