The Senior Account Executive for Higher Education Data Platforms will lead strategic sales engagements across Northern California Universities, including the UC System.
This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide data modernization initiatives involving cloud infrastructure, analytics, AI, database platforms, research computing, and institutional transformation programs.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience selling complex enterprise technology solutions into higher education institutions and understands the unique governance, procurement, and stakeholder structures within public and private universities, and university systems.
This role requires executive-level relationship development, cross-functional orchestration, consultative solution selling, and the ability to position long-term strategic business value across research, administrative, and academic organizations.
Detailed Description:
A Data Platform Sales Rep works to identify, qualify, and deliver Oracle’s end-to-end cloud products and solutions across IaaS/PaaS pillar via private or public cloud.
- Responsible for the account plan to drive goal attainment in assigned territory.
- Coordinates with the other members of the sales team (employees and partners) to support account sales and business development strategies.
- Helps identify and engage the appropriate partner to meet customer specifications.
- Becomes trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision makers. Drives company strategy into assigned accounts.
- Follows all companies' methodologies and processes related to sales opportunity pursuit.
- Ensures that the company's sales programs are known and completed in assigned territory, including personal follow-up and engagement in selected opportunities.
- Achieves or exceeds the quarterly and annual sales goals for both cloud solutions and their respective on-prem solutions. May travel frequently
- Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
- Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
- 5 plus years relevant work experience.
- BS/BA preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $94,000 to $155,000 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 50/50.
