This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Project Manager to join the WCIB Technology Portfolio Management team. This role will support technology investment initiatives for the Investment Services and Corporate Trust business and will be responsible for driving project delivery, managing budgets and forecasts, supporting investment planning activities, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful execution of key technology initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a blend of project management, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and technology delivery experience.
This person will manage technology projects from initiation through delivery while supporting technology investment planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities. They will partner closely with business and technology teams to track project performance, provide executive reporting, manage risks and dependencies, and drive successful project outcomes across a highly collaborative environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead technology projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring objectives, timelines, and milestones are achieved.
- Support annual technology investment planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities.
- Track project budgets, resource allocations, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize and execute strategic initiatives.
- Develop and deliver project status updates and executive-level reporting.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Build strong relationships across business and technology organizations to drive alignment and results.
- Support technology initiatives within the Investment Services and Corporate Trust business area.
Must Have Skills:
- 4+ years of experience managing technology projects from planning through execution.
- Experience managing project budgets, financials, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience providing project status reporting and executive-level updates.
- Ability to coordinate work across business and technology teams to drive results.
- Experience using Jira and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, organizational, and delivery management skills.
- Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Financial services or banking industry experience.
- Experience using Clarity for project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
- Power BI reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization experience.
- Experience supporting technology investment planning or portfolio management activities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, AI tools, and/or AI agent development .
- Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
- Advanced reporting and analytics skills.
- Experience partnering with executive stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
