Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as Chief of Staff to the VP, Manufacturing for the Austin, TX campus, acting as a trusted advisor and force multiplier across strategic, operational, and organizational priorities.
  • Manages the VP's operating rhythm, including staff meeting cadence, quarterly business reviews, all-hands meetings, and leadership offsites, owning agenda development, pre-reads, follow-up tracking, and closure of open decisions.
  • Represents the VP in cross-functional forums, ensuring the VP's priorities and intent are accurately reflected when the VP is unable to attend directly.
  • Drives strategic site-wide and select worldwide manufacturing project and program objectives, including determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others.
  • Leads assigned site-wide projects and programs in accordance with defined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
  • Leads all phases of assigned projects and programs, ensures process improvements are documented, and ensures that information required by other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate.
  • Partners with Finance, HR, Legal, and other corporate functions on the VP's behalf to align manufacturing priorities with broader organizational objectives.
  • Leads the strategic planning cycle for the manufacturing organization, including goal-setting, organizational reviews, and translation of strategy into executable plans.
  • Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
  • Exercises sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential organizational, personnel, and business information.
  • Drafts executive communications, talking points, and organizational announcements on behalf of the VP.
  • Takes ownership of ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives that lack a clear existing owner.
  • Works effectively with staff across the organization to maximize productivity for assigned projects and programs.

Other Requirements: This position may require working in a clean room and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields, during site walks and program oversight. Some travel to other worldwide manufacturing sites may be required.

Functional Knowledge

Experience in project/program management or equivalent leadership experience required, along with demonstrated experience operating in a chief of staff, executive support, or comparable cross-functional leadership capacity. Demonstrated success operating in a matrixed organization required.

Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process, or service improvements; synthesizes input from multiple functions into clear, actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.

Leadership

Leads projects and initiatives with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution; serves as a trusted advisor and extension of executive leadership.

Problem Solving

Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; exercises sound judgment on ambiguous, sensitive, or confidential matters; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions.

Interpersonal Skills

Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections, and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view; builds trust quickly across functions and levels of the organization.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering or related technical field preferred); Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 10+ years, ideally within a semiconductor, manufacturing, or operations environment, including experience supporting senior executives and/or leading cross-functional programs.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
