What will you do?
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, and issuing purchase orders in accordance with company policies, procedures, and procurement guidelines. This role ensures timely and accurate procurement support while delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers. The incumbent will proactively develop solutions to meet customer requirements related to delivery timelines, quality standards, and sourcing needs. Additionally, the role may involve organizing, maintaining, and updating sourcing databases and supplier information.
Receive, review, process, and issue purchase orders in compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Ensure purchase orders are accurate, complete, and processed within established timelines.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Resolve procurement-related issues and develop solutions to meet customer requirements regarding quality and delivery expectations.
Monitor order status and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure continuity of supply.
Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and purchasing data.
Organize, update, and maintain sourcing databases, supplier records, and procurement information systems.
Support sourcing initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and maintaining supplier and market data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and procurement best practices.
What we look for?
Experience processing purchase orders and working with procurement systems.
Associate Degree (2-year degree) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of sourcing and supplier management processes.
Experience maintaining procurement databases and reporting tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and service excellence.
