Accountabilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and disaster-resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
- Configure and maintain cloud services including compute, storage, databases, networking, and Kubernetes-based solutions.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot performance and availability issues, and implement operational improvements.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration using tools such as GitHub Actions to enable efficient and reliable application deployments.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with software development teams to design cloud-native solutions aligned with application requirements.
- Develop automation scripts and operational tools using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support evolving infrastructure and DevOps objectives.
- Participate in team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical problem-solving activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or related technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure core services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, including GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, networking concepts, subnetting, routing, load balancing, VPNs, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering and development teams.
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe software development environments is preferred.
- Previous government or federal project experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain required government security clearance.
- Relevant cloud certifications are preferred, including:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.
