As a Maintenance Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance and engineering activities that ensure our facilities and manufacturing equipment operate efficiently and reliably. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence through hands-on technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You will report directly to our Facilities Maintenance Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Woonsocket, RI location on a 100% On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the operational effectiveness of our manufacturing equipment and building systems by providing technical support and executing maintenance tasks that minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of maintenance plans and schedules to ensure facilities and equipment are well-maintained and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and facility issues promptly to minimize production impact.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance processes and facility operations.
You Must Have:
- 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance engineering or related technical roles
- Basic knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and tools, ability to read technical drawings and schematics, and familiarity with preventive maintenance practices
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment
- Less than 5% travel; possible for training once a year
We Value:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- Advanced degree in Engineering such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment
- Knowledge of energy-saving practices and sustainable facility operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities
