Accountabilities:

    The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing comprehensive testing activities to validate healthcare technology solutions and ensure system requirements are successfully met. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across technical and clinical teams.

    • Evaluate, implement, test, and manage technology solutions supporting healthcare information systems.
    • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and evaluation procedures to verify system functionality and performance.
    • Conduct functional, interoperability, round-trip, regression, exploratory, positive, negative, and validation testing.
    • Perform testing of connected interfaces and validate data integrity, including database persistence and data transfers between systems.
    • Analyze requirements, architecture documentation, and system designs to determine operational feasibility.
    • Identify, document, track, and manage defects according to established testing standards and processes.
    • Develop technical documentation, analysis reports, and testing artifacts with minimal supervision.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to support successful project delivery.
    • Utilize testing tools, repositories, and documentation processes to maintain accurate project records.
    • Support healthcare system interoperability initiatives involving complex enterprise applications and integrations.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a healthcare technology professional with a combination of clinical knowledge, software testing expertise, and strong communication skills. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, analyzing complex systems, and working independently in a collaborative environment.

      • Clinical experience as a Physician, Physician Assistant, Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, or similar healthcare role.
      • Experience working with Oracle Millennium Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions.
      • Strong understanding of web-based applications and functional testing methodologies.
      • Experience designing, executing, and documenting software testing activities.
      • Ability to understand system architecture, testing environments, and test data requirements.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
      • Ability to create clear technical documentation and client-facing analysis reports.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to different audiences.
      • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities.
      • Experience with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
      • Experience with collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint.
      • Eligibility to complete a government investigation and obtain required security clearance access.
      • Preferred qualifications include:

        • Experience supporting healthcare technology environments, particularly within Veterans Affairs or Department of Defense ecosystems.
        • Familiarity with VistA legacy systems, Health Information Exchange solutions, DEERS/Rhapsody, VA Profile, and related integrations.
        • Experience with large-scale application deployments and DevOps implementations.
        • Experience with Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
        • Knowledge of risk-based testing methodologies and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing practices.
        • Prior access to healthcare government networks is a plus.
