The Company

Throne is a fast growing Series B startup transforming public infrastructure by delivering clean, safe, smart restrooms to cities, transit agencies, and public spaces. With flagship customers like LA Metro, Caltrain, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Beverly Hills and Washington DC, they're rapidly scaling and preparing for multi-city expansion in 2026–2027.

Why This Role is Exciting

  • Lead a team with real-world impact: You'll own the day-to-day performance and development of a field technician team keeping Thrones across New York City running at the highest standards.

  • Work on cutting-edge infrastructure: Throne's products combine IoT, solar power, smart plumbing, HVAC, and waste management systems — giving you exposure to highly interdisciplinary operational challenges.

  • Build scalable field operations: You'll help establish and improve field service processes, scheduling infrastructure, and operational workflows during a key growth phase for the company.

  • Highly collaborative environment: Partner closely with Software, Engineering, Design, and central Tech Ops teams to deliver structured field feedback that drives product and process improvements.

Responsibilities

As the Manager, Market Operations, you will lead Throne's NYC field technician team and own end-to-end field service operations, ensuring Thrones across the city are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards.

Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of field technicians. Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide ongoing coaching. Lead onboarding and training for new technicians, ensuring adherence to national standards and local market requirements. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Operations Management: Own end-to-end NYC field service operations including scheduling, workload prioritization, and technician deployment. Ensure all repair and maintenance tickets are created, assigned, and resolved in accordance with defined SLAs. Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies, and lead deployments of new Throne units as the market scales.

Performance Tracking & Reporting: Track and report on key operational metrics — resolution times, uptime, technician utilization — to the Market General Manager. Create and execute plans for the proper upkeep of all workspaces, tools, and equipment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement: Translate field learnings into documented processes and technical knowledge base contributions. Execute centrally defined training programs ensuring compliance and standardization. Identify operational inefficiencies and proactively propose improvements.
