Accountabilities
- Lead and manage structural design and project delivery activities, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources, invoicing, and change management.
- Coordinate structural design, drafting, modelling, detailing, and drawing production while ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Support business development activities and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective project solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members to encourage professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Prepare and coordinate technical specifications, design documents, construction drawings, and project deliverables.
- Oversee construction contract administration activities, including site visits, field reviews, measurements, and coordination meetings.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to understand project needs and ensure successful delivery.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Engineering Technology, Building Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Certification or eligibility for certification as a CET, PTech, or equivalent professional designation is considered an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design, drafting, modelling, detailing, and project coordination, ideally within industrial structures, electrical utility support structures, heavy civil projects, water infrastructure, and buildings.
- Strong project management experience with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, resources, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Proficiency with structural design and drafting software such as Revit and AutoCAD; experience with tools like ETABS, SAP2000, S-Frame, or similar modelling platforms is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites within Atlantic Canada.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $98,000 to $122,000, depending on experience, expertise, credentials, and alignment with role requirements.
