Secretary - Radiation/Oncology - St. Joseph Warren Hospital

Shift/Schedule:

  • This is a PRN "As Needed" position

  • A PRN associate can expect to work a minimum 1-2 shifts per week in this role. More shifts may be scheduled as needed by the department.

  • Shift Dates/Times - Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, 8 hour shifts

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of administrative functions. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under general supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. 

  • Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. 

  • Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. 

  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information. 

  • Composes straightforward written descriptions of results. 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • 2 year/Associates Degree Preferred

  • Prior experience in providing administrative /clerical support

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in healthcare (preferred)
