Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring two Functional Business Relationship Managers (BRM) to serve as the strategic liaison for Engineering or Integrated Operations (encompassing Manufacturing, Planning and Quality) functions at BAE Systems Platforms & Services, the Inc. Business Relationship Manager, and the Information Technology organization, aligning technology capabilities with functional priorities and enabling secure, efficient delivery of major technology initiatives.

  • Improved throughput by removing delivery blockers and aligning shared IT services.
  • Stronger, trusted relationships with Inc. BRMs, IT, and sector stakeholders.
  • Greater adoption of enterprise technology solutions and reduced shadow IT.
  • Improved data visibility, quality, and integration for better decision support.
  • Improved alignment to enterprise operating models and clearer accountability boundaries.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the multi-year business capability and technology roadmap for assigned functions.
  • Liaison between the business and IT, collaborating across functions to deliver technology solutions that enhance efficiency, enable growth, and improve customer experience.
  • Align technology solutions with Engineering or Integrated Operational priorities and guides adoption of emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with the Inc. BRM and the sector stakeholders to develop and maintain the multi-year business capability and technology roadmap for the assigned sector functions.
  • Operate the full demand intake, shaping, and prioritization process for supported sector functions.
  • Ensure roadmap alignment with sector needs; reconcile priority conflicts.
  • Lead business case creation, benefit hypotheses, KPI definition, and value tracking.
  • Drive adherence to CMMC Level 2+ and enterprise cyber compliance.
  • Increase adoption of enterprise platforms; establish readiness and change plans.
  • Identify and broker standardization opportunities across functions and sectors.
  • Resolve delivery barriers and escalate unresolved blockers.
  • Improve data visibility and integration across fragmented systems.
  • Communicate strategy and roadmap decisions with executive-ready materials.
  • Build trusted relationships across Inc. BRM, sector functions, PMO, cyber, and IT delivery.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years experience and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience supporting executive governance forums, steering committees, implementation readiness activities, and senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise delivery practices, implementation governance, dependency management, and transformation execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, resolve competing priorities, and drive coordinated execution across distributed teams.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic and operational initiatives across Engineering, Integrated Operations or IT to drive business objectives.
  • Skilled in translating complex challenges into clear strategic roadmaps and actionable plans.
  • Proven ability to convert business needs into IT solutions informed by strategy, industry trends, and innovation opportunities.
  • Experience as a cross‑functional liaison, delivering technology solutions that enhance efficiency, support growth, and improve customer experience.
  • Master's degree and 15 years+ work experience.
  • Experience managing project managers and teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise headquarters or corporate function initiatives.
  • Experience operating within highly matrixed business and technology environments.
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks, lifecycle management practices, and enterprise implementation methodologies.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
