Overview

About HealthEdge

HealthEdge is a healthcare SaaS software company building the next generation of solutions for health plans. Our integrated suite – including HealthRules® Payer, HealthEdge Source™, GuidingCare® and Wellframe™ – gives payers a modern digital foundation that lowers administrative cost, improves payment accuracy and elevates the clinical and member experience. By replacing fragmented legacy systems and eliminating data silos, we help health plans operate more efficiently and deliver better outcomes for the members they serve.

About the Role

Our enterprise reporting platform is a new, company-wide capability that turns data from across the entirety of HealthEdge into trusted, decision-ready insight. Built on a modern cloud data lake and a medallion architecture, it will become the single source of truth for the metrics that run the business – used every day by product, finance, operations and executive leadership.

We are looking for a Director, Enterprise Data and Analytics to own this capability as a function and partner with technology engineering to deliver it. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role. You will set the strategy and roadmap, lead a team of data scientists and business analysts, and establish the operating model, standards and governance to ensure data accuracy and scalability. You will be accountable for delivery from proof of concept through production and will shape how the entire organization measures and acts on performance.

Just as important, this is an analytical role and not only a delivery role. Beyond building the platform, you will be a hands-on partner to the business – providing insights and building models to inform strategic business decisions around go-to-market and account management. You will be as comfortable building an analysis yourself as leading the team that delivers the platform behind it.

What You’ll Do

Enterprise Data and Reporting Platform

  • Own the vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for enterprise data and analytics, aligned to business priorities and executive objectives.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics engineering to design and deliver a medallion data architecture (bronze, silver and gold layers) on the enterprise data lake – from raw ingestion through curated, decision-ready datasets.
  • Establish and govern an enterprise data catalog with clearly documented data definitions, lineage and other metadata to create a single source of truth.
  • Be accountable for delivery against committed milestones, advancing the platform through phased proof-of-concept, pilot and production releases.
  • Build, lead and grow a high-performing team of data engineers, analytics engineers and analysts, including hiring, coaching and performance management.
  • Represent enterprise data and analytics to senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, communicating strategy, trade-offs and progress with clarity and credibility.
  •
  • Data Governance and Operating Model
  •
  • Establish the operating model, standards and ways of working for enterprise reporting – from intake and prioritization through delivery and ongoing support.
  • Define the self-service analytics and reporting experience so stakeholders across the company can reliably answer their own questions through governed dashboards.
  • Set and enforce standards for data quality, lineage, documentation and access – including role-based access control (RBAC) – in partnership with engineering and security.
  • Serve as a central authority and resource for business intelligence and reporting teams, providing support and guidance as necessary.
  •
  • Business Analytics and Insights
  •
  • Develop and maintain analytical models that support leadership decisions including go-to-market, account management, staff allocation and more.
  • Partner with leaders across product, finance, operations and technology to align priorities and resolve competing demands.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, business intelligence or reporting, including 3+ years leading and growing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business or in a similar technical, quantitative or analytical field; advanced degree a plus, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A track record of building and delivering enterprise-scale reporting or analytics capabilities using a modern data stack.
  • Experience establishing metrics and KPIs, data governance, quality and documentation practices at scale.
  • Proven ability to set strategy and translate ambiguous business needs into a clear, prioritized plan and operating model.
  • Demonstrated people leadership – hiring, developing and retaining data and analytics talent and setting direction for a team.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the presence to lead the platform and the ability to translate complex, data-heavy topics into clear, actionable insights for senior audiences.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong technical depth: a solid understanding of data modeling (including dimensional and layered/medallion architectures) and the ability to engage credibly with engineers on architecture and design trade-offs.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including hands-on financial or business modeling, with the ability to turn data into strategic recommendations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare payer technology, health plan operations or healthcare SaaS
  • Familiarity with payer data domains such as claims, enrollment, provider data and care management.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience designing role-based access control (RBAC) and data access governance for sensitive or regulated data.
