Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers while fostering collaboration and technical growth.
- Define and execute the DevOps roadmap, aligning infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational initiatives with business objectives.
- Own the health and maturity of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and release management processes.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, developer experience, and infrastructure scalability.
- Strengthen infrastructure-as-code practices, automation standards, operational documentation, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Oversee production operations, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and service reliability.
- Guide secure cloud architecture and deployment practices while collaborating with security stakeholders.
- Optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Track operational metrics such as deployment frequency, availability, recovery times, change success rates, and cloud spending.
- Evaluate infrastructure tools, support future team growth, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows.
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience managing engineers or serving as technical lead for DevOps or platform teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS production environments and cloud infrastructure management.
- Proven experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines and implementing infrastructure as code.
- Strong background in production operations, monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability engineering.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, secrets management, and secure deployment practices.
- Experience with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, shell scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Bash.
- Ability to review and validate AI-generated code and infrastructure configurations using sound engineering judgment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare or other regulated industries, serverless AWS services, AWS CDK or Terraform, compliance-focused engineering practices, PostgreSQL, application performance monitoring, AWS cost optimization, AI-assisted development workflows, and supporting distributed engineering teams.
- Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000, based on experience and location.
