About the role
The Strategic Marketing Sr. Manager, CHVAC North Asia is accountable for defining and driving the external market and Go‑to‑Market (GTM) strategy for Carrier’s Commercial HVAC business across North Asia.
This role serves as the strategic bridge between external market opportunities and internal execution, ensuring that Carrier competes and grows in the right markets, segments, and applications. With a strong market‑in perspective, the incumbent will translate market insights into clear GTM priorities and align Sales, Product, and R&D / Application Technology teams around a shared market strategy.
Operating independently from any single function, this position plays a critical role in enabling focused growth, differentiated market positioning, and cross‑regional GTM consistency across North Asia.
Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Marketing Lead for CHVAC North Asia, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Market Strategy & Growth Direction
Lead comprehensive external market analysis across North Asia, including industry trends, customer needs, application scenarios, and competitive dynamics.
Identify and prioritize high‑growth, high‑strategic‑value segments and verticals (e.g. data center, healthcare, electronics, low‑carbon buildings, system solutions and lifecycle services).
Define the North Asia Commercial HVAC market territory, growth logic, and medium‑ to long‑term strategic focus areas.
2. Go‑to‑Market (GTM) Strategy Design(channel/vertical/system solution strategy/service & GTM)
Design end‑to‑end GTM strategies for priority segments and verticals, including:
Target customer profiles and buying decision processes
Value propositions and solution positioning
Channel and ecosystem approaches (direct sales, distributors, system integrators, partners)
Ensure GTM strategies are commercially viable, executable, and scalable across regions.
3. Cross‑Functional GTM Alignment & Enablement
Act as the central GTM strategy integrator, aligning Sales, Product Management, and R&D / Application Technology teams around shared market priorities and customer needs.
Translate market and GTM strategies into clear inputs and prioritization for sales focus, product direction, and technical capability development.
Drive consistency and alignment of GTM execution across North Asia regions.
4. Market‑Driven Portfolio & Solution Input
Provide strong market‑based input to product portfolio and solution direction, ensuring competitiveness and relevance in priority segments.
Support the development of segment‑specific solution packages in collaboration with Product and Application Tech Solution teams.
Ensure innovation and investment decisions are anchored in validated or clearly articulated market demand.
5. Strategy Translation & Leadership Support
Translate market and GTM strategies into actionable roadmaps, initiatives, and success metrics.
Monitor market evolution and GTM effectiveness, recommending course corrections as needed.
Develop executive‑level insights, materials, and recommendations to support North Asia leadership decision‑making.
Fulfill any additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in business, engineering, marketing, or related disciplines
10+ years of experience in market strategy, GTM strategy, strategic marketing, business strategy, or management consulting, preferably in B2B or industrial industries
Experience in HVAC, building systems, industrial equipment, energy, or complex solution‑based businesses is strongly preferred
Proven ability to work in complex, matrix organizations and influence without direct authority
Strong analytical capability with structured strategic thinking
Ability to work effectively with regional and global stakeholders
Proficiency in English as a working language
