ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

1. End-to-End AI Solution Architecture Design

  • Define and develop the overall architecture of AI intelligent laboratory solutions across automation, data platform, application, AI agent, model, integration, and workflow layers.
  • Design system integration framework connecting instruments, middleware, data platforms, and AI capabilities.
  • Establish standardized architecture blueprint for reusable and scalable deployment.
  • Make expert-level architecture decisions on system structure, data flow, AI capability modules, integration interfaces, and deployment models.
  • Anticipate technical, regulatory, cybersecurity, data governance, and implementation risks in architecture design.

2. Business Requirements to Technical Solution Translation

  • Translate complex customer needs and business priorities into structured AI solution modules and implementation roadmaps.
  • Define architecture for key AI use cases such as intelligent scheduling, AI validation, quality management, laboratory operation optimization, and clinical decision support.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, service, product, IT, and business teams to ensure technical feasibility meets business expectations.
  • Provide expert input to customer discussions, solution proposals, and business case development.

3. Capability Integration & Technology Roadmap Contribution

  • Assess and consolidate existing digital, automation, data, and AI products into unified architecture.
  • Identify key gaps in current solution portfolio such as AI validation, knowledge graph, clinical decision support, data platform, and ISO management systems.
  • Define technical roadmap to close capability gaps and enhance competitiveness.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and external solution providers for fit-for-purpose integration opportunities.

4. Reference Site Solution Design & Deployment Support

  • Lead solution architecture design for benchmark hospitals and pilot projects.
  • Provide expert technical guidance during solution implementation, integration testing, validation, and issue resolution.
  • Support creation of scalable deployment model based on reference cases.
  • Convert reference-site learnings into standardized architecture models and reusable solution packages.

5. Ecosystem & Technical Collaboration Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Service, IT, Automation BU, CVS, Product, Regulatory, Quality, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including AI vendors, IT solution providers, hospitals, laboratories, and ecosystem partners, to define integration approaches and validate technical feasibility.
  • Support vendor evaluation, partner selection, technical validation, solution co-development, and architecture governance.
  • Lead technical workstreams and influence cross-functional alignment without necessarily having direct people management responsibility.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

  • External contacts include hospital customers, laboratories, AI vendors, IT solution providers, and technology partners to gather requirements, validate solution feasibility, and support implementation.
  • Internal contacts include Marketing, Sales, Service, IT, Automation BU, CVS, Product, Regulatory, Quality, and cross-functional teams to align on architecture design, solution development, and project execution.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN:

The incumbent works with a high degree of independence under general direction from management, exercising expert judgment in solving complex technical and business problems.

This position may lead technical workstreams, external partners, and cross-functional contributors to achieve project milestones and solution objectives, without necessarily having direct people management responsibility.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Automation, Medical Informatics, or related fields.
  • English skill in both reading and writing is essential. Good English speaking skill is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in AI solution architecture, system integration, data platform design, AI/ML applications, and scalable solution deployment.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare, IVD, laboratory informatics, automation, or clinical workflow environments is highly preferred.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in solution architecture, healthcare IT, laboratory informatics, system integration, AI systems, or related technical roles; demonstrated AI-related project experience is required.
  • Hands-on or architecture experience in AI solution design, AI/ML applications, data platforms, model integration, AI agent applications, or AI-enabled workflow optimization.
  • Experience leading complex solution architecture work from concept design through pilot implementation and scalable deployment.
  • Experience in healthcare, IVD, laboratory automation, or other regulated environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with external technology partners, AI vendors, hospitals, laboratories, or healthcare ecosystem partners is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of system integration, data flow, AI-driven applications, and responsible AI considerations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and architecture trade-off decision-making capability.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional influencing skills.
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, continuous learner, and able to work under pressure in a fast-changing AI and healthcare technology environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require business traveling in a frequently situation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position functions in a general office environment with frequent interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
