During the ongoing project, the responsibility for project management, the previously defined laboratory services and the deployment of our employees in this project lies with Eurofins PSS.Job DescriptionAs a Scientist, you will join a Eurofins PSS team supporting process development activities in plasma-derived biopharmaceuticals at a client site in Bern.You will contribute to the development and optimization of protein fractionation processes, working within a structured scientific service environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.The role combines hands-on experimental work with data analysis and scientific evaluation.ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and evaluate laboratory experiments related to process development using scale-down modelsContribute to development and optimization of protein fractionation and purification processesPerform advanced data analysis and interpret experimental results to support decision-making and continuous improvementMaintain and optimize databases, ensuring data quality, integrity, traceability, and generation of meaningful insights to support process changes, investigations, and lifecycle management activitiesPrepare protocols, reports, and technical documentationSupport scale-up activities and process transfer to the pilot plantCollaborate with Eurofins PSS team members and client stakeholdersEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and documentation standardsQualificationsMSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or similarExperience in protein purification (ÄKTA chromatography system) and process developmentHands-on laboratory experience in bioprocessing and filtration (filter press systems)Strong analytical and data evaluation skillsFamiliarity with DoE and statistical tools (e.g., JMP) is an advantageGood scientific report writing and presentation skillsStructured and proactive working styleFluent in English and German language skills would be an advantageAdditional InformationCompany CultureAt Eurofins PSS, our company culture is deeply rooted in our four core values: Teamwork, Integrity, Superlative Customer Satisfaction, and Productivity.
