The Merad and Marron Laboratories are seeking highly motivated postdocs to lead and oversee the XPRIZE clinical trial which primary objectives is to characterize the systemic inflammatory milieu through longitudinal blood sample analysis and determine whether changes observed during the first six months are transient or sustained. Exploratory objectives include assessing changes in standard clinical and laboratory measures from baseline through six months of treatment.

 

Goals/Outcome of the research project Present results in work in progress, participate in weekly lab meeting  and journal clubs as well as mentor graduate students.

Technical Duties: 

  • Coordinate participant study visits and scheduling.
  • Request and prepare clinical laboratory, research blood collection, and phlebotomy kits.
  • Coordinate study drug pickup from the Investigational Drug Service (IDS) pharmacy.
  • Process and transport study specimens and materials.
  • Collect and maintain study data in accordance with protocol requirements.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the XPRIZE study team.
  • Perform independent research in the area of T cell biology
  • Critically analyze data quality and results, communicate results to scientists and lay people
  • Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants
  • Collaborate closely with other scientists to conduct research

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. required
  • Experience working in a research laboratory setting

 

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the ISMMS and the Sinai Postdoctoral Organizing Committee - UAW.
