Program Analyst

This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Lakewood, Colorado. As Program Analyst, GS-0343, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Develop and implement programmatic, administrative, and operational policies and procedures; provides advisory services on issues of substantial scope and impact throughout the organization. Analyze and evaluate (on a quantitative and/or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Ability to design, organize and execute short- and long-term studies of programs, policies, and budget issues, particularly those with energy resource and capital improvement implications. Ability to explain persuasively, and to write clearly about complex and controversial issues and make recommendations to senior level officials with various perspectives and concerns. Develop and refine strategies, policies and action plans to improve program quality and performance. Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on all matters related to oil and gas regulations, policies, development and operations.
