About the Team & Mission:
We run the global backbone of PC manufacturing & automation for one of the largest electronics manufacturers in the world.
Our team maintains 1,500+ servers and systems across factories worldwide. When something breaks or behaves strangely, production engineers open a ticket — or better yet, our monitoring detects it first. A robot starts troubleshooting, and in the best cases, it fixes the issue automatically.
Right now ~90% of tickets are routed automatically, ~5% of incidents are detected proactively, and ~1% are fully auto-resolved. Our ambitious goal for the next 2–3 years: flip these numbers to >50% auto-detection and >30% auto-resolution, while keeping factories running 24/7.
Every team member spends roughly half their time supporting factories today (real engineering troubleshooting) and half building the automation tools that will reduce tomorrow’s firefighting. This is a true 50/50 role where you’ll grow fast by solving real problems at massive scale.
What You’ll Do (50/50 split):
Support & Operations (~50%):
Take ownership of escalated incidents from factories or our monitoring systems
Live troubleshooting on Windows/Linux servers, SQL databases, virtualization platforms, Kubernetes clusters, and networking
Document root causes and convert them into reusable runbooks, scripts, or automated solutions
Development & Automation (~50%):
Build and extend internal tools, self-healing scripts, monitoring alerts, and auto-remediation playbooks
Turn repeated manual fixes into “the robot handles it from now on”
Work with production data at scale (Kafka streams, Grafana dashboards, large SQL/PostgreSQL databases)
Write code in C#, Python, PowerShell, Go — or whatever best solves the problem
Improve our observability, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
Our Current Stack (you don’t need to know everything — strong curiosity and willingness to learn is what matters most):
OS: Windows Server + Linux (Ubuntu)
Databases: MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL
Infra: VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Proxmox VE
Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, SQL
Messaging: Kafka, Redis
Scripting/Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python
Development: C# (.NET Core/6+), Python, occasional Go
Tools: Ansible + custom tools, Azure
Who We’re Looking For:
Genuine passion for technology and how things work under the hood
Strong junior (1–4 years of real-world experience) or mid-level (up to 7–10 years) in IT operations, system administration, support engineering, DevOps, or SRE
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with servers, databases, or networks in production environments (lab/hobby projects also count if you’re a fast learner)
Comfortable with at least one scripting language (PowerShell or Python preferred)
Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
Familiarity (or strong interest in learning) Kafka and Kubernetes/container platforms
You get excited when you fix something manually and immediately think: “This should be automated!”
Good English (written and spoken) — we’re a global team
Nice-to-have (not required):
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Personal automation projects, open-source contributions, or side projects showing initiative
We Especially Welcome Strong Juniors who are hungry to learn, grow extremely fast, and take on real ownership early. You’ll work directly with senior colleagues who love mentoring.
What We Offer:
Real impact: Your work directly affects hundreds of thousands of PCs built every day
Perfect environment for rapid growth — see production at global scale, break/fix/automate, and build production-grade skills quickly
Modern tools, greenfield automation projects, and supportive senior mentors
Hybrid work (3 days in office initially, then flexible once independent)
Competitive salary + benefits
This is an excellent junior-to-mid-level role where you’ll keep factories running today while actively building the autonomous systems of tomorrow. If you’re motivated, curious, and ready to grow, we want to meet you! 🚀
