Overview
A Human Resources Manager's responsibilities include assisting and coordinating the HR function at the hotel to attract, retain, develop and motivate Team Members in accordance with policies/ procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, while limiting liabilities and promoting a safe, fair, positive work environment. Other duties include coaching, counseling, training, new hire orientations, benefit administration, maintain personnel files, complete payroll, and oversee all employee relations and labor related matters as they relate to federal and state laws.
Responsibilities

· Constantly. Handle incoming/outgoing phone calls.
· Constantly. Maintain employee personnel files for active and terminated.
· Constantly. Maintain I-9 compliance, keep current.
· Constantly. Maintain work area clean and organized.
· Constantly. Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
· Constantly. Assist managers in lowering attrition.
· Constantly. Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
· Constantly. Abide by hotel Affirmative Action program and monitor compliance.
· Constantly. Administer company and property benefits programs, ensuring ACA compliance.
· Constantly. Assist with all recruiting and employment efforts.
· Constantly. Maintain applicant records and personnel files including medical and confidential files.
· Constantly. Maintain work areas clean and organized.
· Constantly. Perform in the capacity of any positions supervised.
· Constantly. Promote employee empowerment.
· Constantly. Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
· Constantly. Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel employees.
· Frequently. Copy materials and documents.
· Frequently. Monitor Affirmative Action applicant flow logs.
· Frequently. Screen applicants.
· Frequently. Set up new employee personnel files.
· Frequently. Type, draft, and edit written correspondence.
· Occasionally. Arrange uniforms for employees to company standards.
· Occasionally. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
· Occasionally. Fax documents.
· Occasionally. File paperwork.
· Occasionally. Order office supplies.
· Occasionally. Prepare orientation packets.
· Occasionally. Receive incoming uniform order and place into stock.
· Occasionally. Train employees in uniform care.
· Occasionally. Attend mandatory meetings.
· Occasionally. Maintain office supply inventories.
· Frequently. Attend mandatory meetings.
· Frequently. Conduct orientation and training activities.
· Frequently. Facilitate the resolution of employee relation’s issues.
· Frequently. Identify useful labor markets/sources and maintain ready supply to meet hotel needs.
· Occasionally. Administer compensation policy within Davidson and hotel guidelines.
· Occasionally. Complete monthly turnover and manpower reports as applicable.
· Occasionally. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
· Occasionally. Conduct management training programs as applicable.
· Occasionally. Develop employee recognition, incentive and other workforce campaigns.
· Occasionally. Identify and recommend solutions to management team.
· Frequently. Process/Distribute payroll.
· Occasionally. Issue employee lockers and/or locks.
· Occasionally. Process nametag requests.
· Rarely. Assist in the planning of social events.
· Rarely. Monitor employee incentive programs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience
· Business communication skills.
· Read, write and speak English fluently.
· Public speaking experience.
· Working knowledge of word processing software.
· One year’s experience in service related field.
· Ability to deal with diversified workforce.
· Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
· Type 55 wpm (corrected).
