Package Gas Dispatcher (Temporary)
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Package Gas Dispatcher will manage scheduling, drivers and the daily management of our Package Gas distribution workload of the team in Winnipeg.This position will report directly to the Area Branch Operations Manager
The individual is responsible for optimizing the distribution efficiency while minimizing costs and ensuring excellent service to internal and external customers while respecting transportation of dangerous goods and Transport Canada regulations.
The dispatcher will also act as a Micro Bulk dispatcher when required.
As a Package Gas Dispatcher, you will:
Analyze the customer demand and ensuring accuracy of the distribution plan which details customer needs, product and equipment availability, geographical position anddelivery optimization using logistics KPI's
Review truck utilization according to their maximal capacity
Work closely with other departments to ensure prompt customer service
Analyze customer trends and recommending supply mode based on various logistics aspects: consumption, usage patterns, location, etc.
Maintain the master data accuracy in the system
Ensure a follow-up of the activity: Validating and confirming the drivers' operations (customer number, truck and trailer identification numbers, tank level, delivered product, mileage, driver's name, etc.) and reviewing the performance of trips and taking actions to correct and improve efficiency
Review the delivery routes and clusters on a regular basis in order to optimize the distribution network.
Safety: Knowing, respecting and promoting a safety culture at the office and Distribution Centre. Attending safety meetings. Promoting a safe working environment.
Shipping and receiving of shipments to and from customers as well as other branches.
Audit and refine GMP protocols to guarantee regulatory compliance and quality control during medical product distribution.

Education: High School Diploma required
Professional Experience:
1- 4 years of experience in a related logistics domain is required
Experience in industrial gas, chemical manufacturing, or a similar process driven industry is highly preferred.
Technical skills and other competencies:
Software Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing computer programs and databases, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word), and specialized industrial databases.
Logistics Systems: Familiarity or experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Analytical Capability: Strong analytical, critical thinking, and statistical skills, with an understanding of basic finance and management principles.
Process Excellence: Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies to help optimize workflows.
Interpersonal & Professional Attributes
