This is a second-line risk and governance role focused on strengthening enterprise resilience through structured oversight of issue and incident management frameworks. You will play a key role in ensuring that incidents are consistently classified, investigated, and resolved in alignment with enterprise risk standards and governance expectations.
The role sits at the intersection of risk, operations, and data-driven decision-making, partnering closely with business and regional risk teams to improve control environments.
You will support the full incident lifecycle, from escalation and root cause analysis through remediation tracking and lessons learned.

Accountabilities:

    • Provide second-line oversight and independent challenge across the full issue and incident lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk standards and governance frameworks.
    • Review and assess incident classifications, impact evaluations, root cause analyses, and remediation plans to ensure consistency and quality.
    • Support escalation of material incidents and emerging risk themes to senior leadership and governance committees in a timely and structured manner.
    • Analyze incident trends, recurring control failures, and systemic risk indicators to identify improvement opportunities across the enterprise.
    • Support and validate incident investigations, ensuring root causes are accurately identified and corrective actions address underlying issues.
    • Monitor remediation activities through to closure, providing independent challenge and verifying effectiveness of implemented controls.
    • Lead post-incident reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement in risk management practices.
    • Develop and enhance governance reporting, dashboards, and key risk indicators to provide meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
    • Support the continuous improvement of issue and incident management frameworks, leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
    • Contribute to the evolution of risk processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite, control standards, and regulatory expectations.
    • Requirements:

      • 5+ years of experience in operational risk, enterprise risk management, issue management, incident management, audit, compliance, or a related second-line risk function in a regulated environment.
      • Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, including risk appetite, control assessments, RCSAs, risk taxonomy, and governance reporting.
      • Experience overseeing or managing issue and incident management processes, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
      • Proven ability to analyze incidents, identify systemic risks, and translate findings into actionable risk insights.
      • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge and influence across business and risk functions.
      • Experience preparing risk reporting, executive dashboards, and key risk indicators for senior leadership audiences.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear narratives.
      • Experience working across multiple teams or geographies in fast-paced and evolving environments.
      • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, data analytics, or automation for risk analysis and reporting is highly desirable.
      • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risk insights and governance recommendations.
