Open original postingThis role will lead a team of experienced Solution Engineers / Sales Consultants who work closely with Sales, customers, partners, and internal Oracle stakeholders to design and position Oracle technology platform products and Oracle Cloud services. The role requires strong technical leadership, customer engagement, commercial awareness, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across enterprise and strategic accounts in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to the Malaysia pre-sales / solution engineering team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pre-sales activities across Malaysia accounts.
- Own the quality and outcomes of all solution engineering engagements in the assigned market.
- Support Sales teams throughout the full sales cycle, including customer meetings, solution positioning, architecture discussions, proof of concepts, demonstrations, and ROI / TCO development.
- Contribute to the achievement of sales quota for the Malaysia region.
- Participate in account planning, territory strategy, and opportunity development.
- Assist in developing short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Engage regularly with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure regional objectives are met.
- Educate customers on Oracle product capabilities, new features, releases, and cloud innovation.
- Act as a customer advocate by providing feedback to Oracle product management and development teams.
- Work with Oracle partners, systems integrators, and internal stakeholders to align pre-sales activities with customer business priorities, compliance needs, and transformation strategies.
- Build architectural influence across key accounts and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop reference accounts, customer advocates, and success stories within the Malaysia market.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with customers, Sales teams, and Solution Engineering teams.
- Identify emerging technology trends and prepare the team to support customer demand in areas such as cloud, data science, AI, analytics, mobility, and digital transformation.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with technical decision-makers, business stakeholders, and C-level leaders across major customers.
- Drive team capability development by identifying skills gaps and nominating team members for appropriate technical and non-technical training.
Qualifications and Experience
- 15+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 10 years in an external customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated experience selling, positioning, or architecting Oracle technology offerings, cloud platforms, or enterprise technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of Malaysia’s enterprise customer environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, solution engineering, enterprise architecture, consulting, or technology leadership role.
- Ability to evangelize Oracle Cloud Platform and services across areas such as data science, AI, analytics, mobility, digital transformation, and cloud modernization.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel within Malaysia and across the region when required.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Advanced organization, time management, and project management skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to innovate in how Oracle supports its customers.
