JLL Workplace Experience – Food Program Subject Matter Expert (APAC)

Job Summary
This position aligns with the Workplace Experience Platform and serves as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for food service programs across the APAC region. The Workplace Experience Food Program Subject Matter Expert provides strategic guidance, technical expertise, and best practice support to all JLL account teams managing food services programs including cafes, catering, micro markets, barista bars, pantry services, vending, office coffee, and grab-and-go operations. This role is responsible for establishing program standards, driving consistency and excellence across accounts, and serving as the go-to resource for food program knowledge and vendor management expertise. The Workplace Experience Food Program Subject Matter Expert will be expected to provide superior consultation and support while enhancing the capabilities of account teams throughout the region.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for all food service programs across APAC JLL accounts
- Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to account teams on food service program, implementation, and optimization
- Establish and maintain regional food service standards, policies, and best practices ensuring consistency across all accounts
- Develop and deliver training programs to upskill account teams on food service operations, vendor management, and client engagement
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to account teams during vendor selection processes, including advising on RFP requirements, vendor evaluation criteria and best practices for food service procurement
- Maintain knowledge of regional and global food service capabilities and market landscape to support teams in vendor identification assessment
- Conduct specialized food program assessments when requested by account teams to provide expert evaluation and recommendations for program improvement
- Support account teams with RFP development, vendor negotiations, and contract structuring for food service programs
- Provide consultative support for client escalations and complex food service challenges across accounts
- Drive innovation in food service delivery through technology integration, sustainability initiatives, and emerging industry trends
- Conduct benchmarking studies and develop KPIs to measure food service program effectiveness across the region
- Develop standardized operational procedures, audit frameworks, and risk management protocols for food service programs
- Collaborate with global Workplace Experience teams to align APAC practices with worldwide standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements across all regional food programs
- Lead the implementation of sustainable food practices including waste reduction, local sourcing initiatives, and environmental impact reduction
- Develop and maintain a knowledge repository of food service resources, templates, and case studies for account teams
- Participate in strategic account reviews and provide food service expertise during client presentations and business development activities
- Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance JLL's food service offerings
- Support crisis management and business continuity planning for food service operations across the region
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree, or master's degree, preferred in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Look for at least a Level 3 or Managerial HACCP certification.
- Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Certification
- Minimum of eight to twelve years progressive experience in foodservice/hospitality management with demonstrated subject matter expertise Proven track record of supporting multiple accounts or business units simultaneously Strong vendor management experience with demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships at scale Deep knowledge of food service operations, industry trends, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements across APAC markets Understanding of cultural nuances and food preferences across diverse APAC markets Experience developing and implementing standardized processes and frameworks across multiple locations Strong background in leadership roles with exposure to contract management, customer service, people development, training and capability building Exhibits exceptional communication, presentation, and listening skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and thought leadership Must have strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different time zones Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to travel within the APAC region as required to support account teams and client engagements
