What You'll Do
As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you'll play a key role in advanced neurological diagnostics and surgery while working closely with board-certified neurologists and anesthesiologists.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor anesthesia during MRI procedures and neurosurgical cases
Perform venipuncture, blood collection, laboratory sample collection, and IV catheter placement
Admit and discharge neurology and surgical patients
Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
Prepare treatment plans and client estimates
Collect payments and support the discharge process
Assist with neurology consultations, outpatient appointments, and rechecks
Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
Perform endotracheal intubation
Scrub into neurosurgical procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
Calculate and administer medications (IV, IM, SQ)
Deliver compassionate, professional client communication
Maintain accurate medical records
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Registered, Certified, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT), or eligible for Colorado registration
Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience in surgery
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty hospital
Preferred Qualifications
Emergency or Specialty Veterinary Hospital experience
MRI or CT anesthesia experience
Advanced anesthesia monitoring experience
Experience with electronic medical records
Ability to anticipate patient and department needs while managing multiple priorities
