Accountabilities:

    The Number Operations Specialist will support day-to-day telecom operations by ensuring number-related requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a strong customer focus. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and a willingness to learn complex operational processes while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

    • Manage telephone number transfer requests between carriers, ensuring accurate processing and timely completion.
    • Support number purchasing activities and assist with customer inquiries related to phone number services.
    • Handle Caller ID and A2P 10DLC SMS registration requests while following operational guidelines and compliance requirements.
    • Communicate with customers, internal teams, and external carriers to troubleshoot issues and provide effective resolutions.
    • Maintain accurate records and update operational systems, including CRM and ticketing platforms.
    • Identify recurring issues, track patterns in operational data, and contribute insights to process improvements.
    • Escalate complex cases appropriately and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Learn and apply telecom, VoIP, and number portability concepts through training and hands-on experience.
    • Support continuous improvements to workflows, documentation, and operational efficiency.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to build expertise in telecommunications operations. No previous telecom experience is required; success in this role comes from curiosity, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.

      • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Good written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
      • Comfortable learning new software tools, including CRM and ticketing platforms such as Zendesk or Jira.
      • Interest in telecommunications, VoIP technologies, and number portability processes.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills.
      • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate issues and identify solutions.
      • Willingness to ask questions, seek guidance, and escalate issues when needed.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
      • Interest in working with operational data, identifying trends, and improving processes.
      • Previous telecom experience is not required; comprehensive training will be provided.
