This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Architect (Contractor) based in Ireland.
This is a high-impact, short-term contract role focused on designing and delivering a unified data and analytics platform that consolidates fragmented music industry data into a single, queryable system. You will define the architecture that connects revenue, royalties, audience, and operational datasets into a coherent BigQuery-based warehouse. The role requires deep expertise in data modeling, system integration, and entity resolution across complex, inconsistent sources. You will work closely with engineers, business stakeholders, and executives to translate business definitions into scalable data structures. A key focus will be resolving conflicting data across platforms and establishing trusted metrics and governance rules. This role is highly collaborative and requires strong architectural ownership in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex integration challenges at scale.

Accountabilities:
- Design and own the end-to-end data warehouse architecture in BigQuery, including schemas, transformation layers, semantic conventions, and access patterns.
- Lead cross-system data integration efforts, including entity resolution, aggregation, and reconciliation across multiple external platforms with inconsistent identifiers and data formats.
- Define business metric logic, source-of-truth rules, and exception handling frameworks in collaboration with finance, marketing, operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead a small delivery team of engineers and contractors, guiding implementation of data pipelines, transformation logic, and analytics-ready datasets.
- Establish standards for data quality, testability, observability, and monitoring across the analytics platform to ensure reliability and trust.

- Deep expertise in data integration challenges including entity matching, aggregation logic, and reconciliation of conflicting data across systems.
- Experience integrating 5+ external SaaS platforms via APIs, exports, or third-party connectors in production environments.
- Strong programming and systems thinking skills, with the ability to independently design, debug, and optimize data pipelines and architectures.
- Demonstrated leadership experience guiding engineers through ambiguous, complex data integration projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams, analysts, and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with music industry data, financial attribution models, or AI-augmented analytics systems is a strong plus.
- Competitive contractor compensation aligned with experience and project scope.
- Fully remote engagement with flexible working arrangements.
- Opportunity to architect a next-generation analytics platform in the music and entertainment industry.
- High-impact role with direct visibility to executive leadership and strategic decision-making.
