How you create impact
We are seeking a Supervisor, Operational Care – Broker Handover & eManifest to lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for the efficient and compliant processing of eManifests with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the timely handover of customs documentation. In this role, you will drive operational excellence, service quality, and cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. As a key leader within the Operational Care Center, you will serve as the primary point of escalation for operational issues, provide coaching and training to team members, monitor departmental KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with the OCC Manager, you will help implement strategic decisions that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction across all Canadian branches.
- Lead, supervise, and support the Operational Care team in daily activities related to Broker Handover and eManifest processing.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for operational challenges, identifying issues and driving timely resolutions.
- Train, coach, and develop new and existing employees, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to succeed.
- Monitor employee performance, provide ongoing feedback, and support career development through performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with CBSA regulations, company policies, operational procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow optimization and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with Customer Care Locations (CCL) and internal stakeholders to provide timely information, resolve concerns, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Participate in organizational projects requiring operational expertise and regulatory compliance support.
- Track, analyze, and improve departmental KPIs through performance reporting and dashboard management.
- Manage workforce planning, including team scheduling, vacation planning, and backup coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal partners while promoting a collaborative and customer-focused culture.

What we would like you to bring
- 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding and supply chain operations, preferably within Sea Logistics.
- Supervisory experience in import/export operations and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of customs documentation, transportation regulations, and operational processes.
- Proven leadership, planning, and performance management skills.Experience managing projects and driving operational improvements.
- Strong understanding of carrier relationships and industry best practices.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
