A Day in the Life
Role purpose for the Senior Technical Consultant Manager is responsible for the operational excellence of the clinical, logistical and digital support team for CRM in Switzerland. The primary objective is to maximize the efficiency of field operations, ensuring that technical and administrative tasks are executed at the highest Medtronic and industry standards, while continuously optimizing processes and offloading the sales force to enable commercial growth for the company. Key responsibilities LeadThis role will cover Region – Switzerland and is a remote role. This means your home/remote location is the primary work location. There may however be requirements to attend a Medtronic location for meetings from time to time.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Leads the Swiss Cardiac Rhythm management clinical, logistical and digital support team, with direct reports including the Inventory Lead Switzerland and PCS Lead Switzerland, reporting to the Country Cardiac Rhythm management Lead.
- Ensures operational excellence of clinical, logistical and digital support activities, maximizing field efficiency and offloading the sales force from technical and administrative tasks to enable commercial growth.
- Oversees and coordinates all service‑relevant tasks, acting as the operational bridge between service/Technical Consultant and commercial functions, and ensuring alignment with the country Cardiac Rhythm management strategy.
- Manages resource allocation, planning and optimization across territories, including scheduling of TC and service resources and balancing in‑field and remote support.
- Ensures deployment of inventory actions across territories in collaboration with the Inventory Lead, driving stock optimization, minimizing scrap and urgent orders, and supporting availability for key procedures.
- Monitors performance and drives service optimization in partnership with Sales Managers, Customer Service and other stakeholders, including segmentation of accounts and tailoring support models.
- Coordinates customer and new hire training & education (including TTT programs) and ensures adequate support and coverage during product launch phases.
- Oversees PER and troubleshooting activities and ensures high‑quality FA service execution in close collaboration with the FA Lead (Marketing).
- Builds team capabilities in product, therapy and operational skills, and drives adoption of digital and remote solutions, including monitoring migration of patients to remote platforms (e.g., CareLink).
- Provides oversight for clinical study execution from a service/TC perspective, including resource planning and allocation for study‑related activities.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Degree in biomedical engineering, life sciences, nursing, or related field, plus substantial experience in Cardiac Rhythm management or comparable clinical/technical support.
- Proven experience leading teams or senior individual contributors in a clinical, service or operations environment.
- Strong planning, prioritization and resource‑management skills, with a clear process and KPI mindset.
- Experience collaborating closely with sales and commercial teams, ideally in a medtech or healthcare environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and in at least one key Swiss language relevant for the role (e.g., German and/or French).
