Job Description:

Job Profile Summary

The eGRC Product Owner I is responsible to ensure that a development team (pod) is creating value for the organization through the delivery of stakeholder-focused product increments. This entails aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing stakeholder feedback. The Product Owner I should always be considering how to maximize value, assessing how the product or the delivery process can be continuously improved, contributes to a positive work environment and ensures that work embodies the Agile principles of transparency, collaboration and engagement.

 

Depth & Scope:

o   Key subject matter expert professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

o   Accountable for specialized product development support based on sound product expertise and knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes, roles and practices

o   Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations

o   Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services

o   Leads and integrates cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty, and /or projects with significant resource requirements, risk and / or complexity

o   Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions

o   Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions

o   Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for

o   Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders

o   Works autonomously as the lead and guide others within area of expertise

 

Education & Experience:

o   Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate

o   7+ years relevant experience

o   3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience

o   Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset

o   Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset

 

Strongly Preferred Qualification:

Experience in eGRC / Non-Financial Risk Product Management at a large Financial Institution or G-SIB, supporting one or more of the following programs:

o   Issue Management

o   Incident / Event Management

o   RCSA

o   Business Continuity Management

o   Operational Resilience

o   Compliance Risk Assessment

o   Laws, Rules, Regulations Management / Regulatory Change Management

o   Policy Management

o   Monitoring and Testing

o   Product / Service Risk Management

o   AML Risk Assessment

o   Exam Management
