Job Description
As a Security Officer Driver Credential Validation in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving Access Control Officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service while bringing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach to every shift with teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
- Screen and document incoming and outgoing traffic, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report access irregularities or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Support loss prevention and other security-related objectives by maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with store personnel, and documenting daily activities and incident details.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
