As a Legal Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders across Mexico, providing practical, business-focused legal guidance that supports key decisions while safeguarding Novartis. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will navigate complex legal matters, negotiate critical agreements, and help shape solutions that balance opportunity with compliance in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders, providing strategic and practical legal guidance
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documentation
Conduct legal risk assessments and develop solutions that support business objectives while ensuring compliance
Advise on litigation, investigations, disputes, and other legal matters affecting the organization
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support business initiatives and strategic priorities
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the business
Drive legal operational excellence initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and team collaboration
Essential Requirements
Law degree with relevant legal experience supporting commercial or corporate matters
Demonstrated experience providing legal counsel and risk-based recommendations to business stakeholders
Experience in pharmaceutical industry or related is a must.
Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills across a variety of agreement types
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence decision-making at multiple organizational levels
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex legal issues pragmatically
Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Requirements
Experience supporting legal matters within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or highly regulated industries
Experience managing external counsel and supporting cross-border or regional legal initiatives
