Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

Our mission is to make all of our customers’ security-relevant data continuously available for automated detection and response, threat hunting, and other Falcon use cases. To enable this, the systems behind NG-SIEM (next generation security information and event management)  are growing to accommodate >100 PB of event and action data ingested every day, up to 10 years of retention, and dozens of millions of queries per hour across large sections of the data stored.

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineering Manager for the NG-SIEM product group working on the LogScale Search Frontend team. This is a critical role in the organization, responsible for driving the operations team as they build towards a zero-touch, highly refined, automated and self-service model in this space.

You will be instrumental in the hiring, retaining and growth of our world class engineers. You will work cross functionally with your peers in the engineering organization as well as leaders in sales and product.

Please note: This role is open to candidates in the Aarhus, Denmark region only.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the Kestrel event search initiative for the frontend: lead the team building a new, modernized search interface that will serve as the company-wide event search experience across the Falcon platform, replacing the current Advanced Event Search with a customizable, analyst-centric UI.

  • Own the technical vision and roadmap for LogScale's frontend surface, including dashboards, data visualization, query editing, and web components that enable security analysts, threat hunters, and IT operators to explore massive datasets.

  • Lead and grow a team of frontend engineers. Drive hiring, provide mentorship, support career development, and foster a culture of ownership, quality, and collaboration.

  • Partner with Product, UX, and backend engineering teams to translate customer needs into well-architected frontend solutions. Champion the end-user experience and ensure the search and visualization capabilities keep pace with rapidly growing platform scale (>100 PB/day ingestion, millions of queries per hour).

  • Drive frontend architecture decisions across the team, balancing delivery speed with long-term maintainability. Ensure the codebase remains performant, testable, and accessible as the product scales.

  • Set and evolve engineering standards and best practices for the frontend organization, including code review processes, testing strategies, and development workflows.

  • Own delivery execution for your team's roadmap. Break down large initiatives into shippable increments, manage dependencies across teams, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with peers across NG-SIEM, Falcon platform teams, and other product groups to align on integration points, shared components, and product strategy.

  • Monitor and improve the quality of shipped features through observability, user feedback, and production metrics. Foster a mindset of continuous improvement where the team owns features from ideation through production.

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in frontend development, including modern web frameworks (React, Ember, Angular, or similar) and languages like TypeScript and JavaScript.

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of frontend or full-stack engineers, with a demonstrated track record of hiring, developing talent, and delivering complex product initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of frontend architecture patterns for large-scale web applications, including state management, component design, performance optimization, and testing strategies.

  • Experience with data visualization technologies and building interactive, data-dense UIs (e.g., D3, Highcharts, Vega, or similar charting/visualization libraries).

  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, UX, and backend engineering to ship customer-facing features in a SaaS delivery model.

  • Experience working with distributed teams across geographies and time zones, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A product-oriented mindset with a track record of balancing short-term delivery needs against long-term codebase health and user experience quality.

  • Ability to communicate and articulate technical decisions clearly to audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership.

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Elm or Ember for frontend development.

  • Experience building search interfaces, query editors, or developer tooling UIs with rich interactivity (syntax highlighting, autocomplete, error handling).

  • Familiarity with log management, observability, or cybersecurity products.

  • Experience leading teams through major product rebuilds or platform migrations while maintaining delivery velocity.

  • Exposure to GraphQL APIs and designing frontend data layers that operate efficiently over large, complex datasets.

  • Experience integrating AI-assisted features into user-facing workflows (e.g., copilot-style query assistance, intelligent suggestions).

  •  Background in accessibility standards and building inclusive, WCAG-compliant web applications.
