Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. Serving over 100,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women’s health, and a family birth center. In 2025, we opened our new patient tower, Grand Tower, featuring a dramatically expanded Emergency Department and Family Birth Center that will increase patient comfort and privacy.

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Our new birth center offers next-generation comfort and technologically equipped care to support growing families with optimized experiences and outcomes. We have modernized our maternity services, including labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and our 24-bed Level III NICU to create spacious, nurturing environments for the 2,400 deliveries and 500 NICU admissions we handle each year.

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date. Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN.
Job Requirements
Required
- 1-3 years of clinical L&D experience
- Licensed California Registered Nurse Education must meet the requirements for California licensure
- California RN license
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Fire Safety, within 90 Days
