Staff Product Manager, Internal AI Solutions
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About the Role:
Crusoe is investing in internal AI products that change how the business operates. This is the senior product role driving that work forward.
You'll own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for Crusoe's internal software products. You'll lead discovery with business teams across the company, prioritize ruthlessly, write the PRDs that drive build decisions, and partner closely with internal engineering to ship. You'll also prototype directly with AI development tools, using working software to validate ideas and accelerate decisions.
This is a senior product role, but not a conventional one. You'll do the full PM job: strategy, discovery, roadmap, metrics, and stakeholder leadership. It demands product rigor and technical depth at speed. Above all, it's for someone with a real appetite for making a company-changing impact.
What You'll Be Working On:
Portfolio and prioritization. Own Crusoe's internal AI product and software portfolio. Drive decisions on what gets built, in what order, and why. Influence the broader strategy for how Crusoe builds and deploys internal AI software, with a sharp point of view on where it's heading.
Discovery and roadmap. Lead deep discovery with business stakeholders -- interviews, workflow observation, jobs-to-be-done analysis. Translate findings into a prioritized roadmap. Apply rigorous frameworks (ROI, effort, strategic fit, build vs. buy) to allocate engineering capacity. Defend trade-offs with data.
Outcomes and measurement. Define success metrics for every solution shipped -- adoption, time and money saved, error reduction, business impact. Instrument from day one. Hold the function accountable to outcomes, not output.
Operating model. Define and own the end-to-end process from intake to graduation: rapid validation, the criteria that promote a prototype into a platform-scale solution, the hand-off to engineering and enterprise technology teams.
Prototyping and engineering partnership. Write the PRD first -- ground it in the discovery, prioritization, and success metrics that make it a defensible spec engineering can scale. Then build a working prototype yourself with AI development tools and agent frameworks to validate the design. Be the best customer the internal engineering team has. Defend prioritization, protect against scope creep.
Product writing and stakeholder leadership. Author the PRDs, strategy docs, and decision memos that move work forward. Lead executives and functional VPs as peers. Influence without authority. Make this new way of working legible across the company.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
8+ years of software product management experience, including time at Staff / Principal / Lead IC level
Proven product craft across the full cycle: discovery methods (user interviews, workflow analysis, jobs-to-be-done), roadmap prioritization frameworks, defining and measuring product outcomes, PRD-grade writing, post-launch iteration
A portfolio of shipped products that materially changed user behavior or business outcomes at scale -- internal tools, customer-facing software, or both
Hands-on engineering ability with AI coding assistants and agent frameworks. You can ship a working prototype end-to-end, not just spec it
Strong judgment on build vs. buy vs. kill. You don't fall in love with your prototypes
Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional work with senior executives as peers, influencing without authority
Excellent written communication. You lead through artifacts -- PRDs, strategy docs, decision memos, one-pagers that get busy executives to a decision
Bias for action, low ego, and a high tolerance for the ambiguity of standing up something new
Bonus Points
Background in IT, internal tools, or business operations at a high-growth company
Experience integrating enterprise SaaS platforms (HRIS, ERP, CRM, contract lifecycle management, etc.)
Familiarity with embedded technical product roles (forward-deployed PM or engineer, or similar senior IC models)
Prior work in data center, infrastructure, or energy industries
