Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
  • Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
  • Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
  • Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance –e.g. pairing, code reviews
  • Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
  • Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
  • Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements

Our team is building resilient, secure, and scalable cloud platforms that support the next generation of digital financial applications. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure and networks to help build and support our cloud-native environments.

In this role, you will work as a key contributor within our cloud platform team, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and secure delivery pipelines. You’ll collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver well-architected solutions aligned with industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, including 5+ years of direct experience with AWS.
  • Proven experience designing production-grade cloud infrastructure in regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and governance within AWS.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.)
  • Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Shell).
  • Experience with continuous integration/delivery pipelines and GitOps workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with multi-account cloud architecture, landing zones, or control tower setups.
  • Familiarity with zero-trust architecture, data encryption, and key management systems (KMS).
  • Strong proficiency with using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform to build cloud infrastructure solutions and automating cloud deployments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., EKS/Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Dynatrace, as well as AWS native tools
  • Experience optimizing cost and performance across large-scale cloud environments.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in cloud engineering communities.

Pay range

$122,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
