Accountabilities:

    The Senior Network Security Specialist will provide cybersecurity and technology risk advisory services, supporting secure and compliant technology initiatives across the organization. The role requires strong architectural thinking, risk assessment capabilities, and the ability to translate security requirements into practical business solutions.

    • Assess current and target-state security architectures across cloud and on-premises environments to support secure technology delivery.
    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps across applications, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
    • Develop and maintain security standards, policies, control requirements, and reusable security architecture patterns aligned with industry best practices.
    • Define secure design approaches, reference architectures, and security artifacts to support development and platform teams.
    • Support cloud security, application security, DevSecOps practices, and secure software development lifecycle processes.
    • Facilitate threat modeling activities to identify attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and required security controls.
    • Enhance security testing practices, including vulnerability assessments, SAST, DAST, container scanning, and dependency analysis.
    • Contribute to vulnerability management activities by supporting identification, prioritization, remediation planning, and risk treatment.
    • Advise teams on technology risks, security controls, compliance requirements, and risk-based mitigation strategies.
    • Support AI security initiatives by assessing risks related to AI adoption and exploring opportunities to integrate AI into security practices.
    • Prepare executive-level documentation, reports, and security recommendations for governance forums and leadership teams.
    • Provide security expertise, workshops, and knowledge sharing across technical and business teams.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings strong cybersecurity architecture experience, knowledge of enterprise security frameworks, and the ability to operate effectively in complex and highly regulated environments.

      • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
      • Minimum of 5 years of recent professional experience in information technology or cybersecurity.
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Cybersecurity Architect, Security Specialist, or similar senior security role.
      • Proven experience assessing security posture and defining target-state security architectures.
      • Strong experience designing and governing security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, data protection, logging, and monitoring.
      • Demonstrated ability to identify security, risk, and compliance gaps and recommend practical improvements.
      • Experience developing security standards, reference architectures, security patterns, and reusable security documentation.
      • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and risk frameworks, including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53/61/92, and ISO/IEC 27001/27002.
      • Familiarity with enterprise and security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SABSA.
      • Experience aligning security architectures with regulatory requirements, particularly within financial services or other regulated industries.
      • Knowledge of third-party risk management and technology risk practices.
      • Relevant certifications are considered an asset, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or cloud security certifications.
      • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex security topics to technical and business audiences.
