About Lendable

Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:

  • One of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people

  • Among the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK

  • Profitable since 2017

  • Backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs

  • Loved by customers with the best reviews in the market (4.9 across 10,000s of reviews on Trustpilot)

So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.

We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.

Join us if you want to

  1. Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1

  2. Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo

  3. Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

About the role

As Lendable scales its credit cards business, the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting has never been more important. We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to own the maintenance and development of our IFRS models and serve as a key data and analytical resource for our finance and capital markets teams.

Reporting into the UK cards credit team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our IFRS 9 provisioning models are accurate, well-governed and aligned with our evolving portfolio. You’ll work closely with credit risk, capital markets and senior finance stakeholders to support data requests, scenario analysis and strategic decisions.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, credit risk and capital markets. You’ll need a deep understanding of IFRS 9, strong technical and modelling skills, and the ability to translate complex financial outputs into clear, actionable insight for a range of stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • 3+ years in financial reporting, credit risk modelling or a related finance function within financial services

  • Hands-on experience maintaining or developing IFRS 9 models, including PD, LGD and EAD components

  • Strong understanding of loss provisioning methodology and an understanding of how provisions interact with P&L and balance sheet

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and model maintenance

  • Experience producing reporting packs and commentary for senior finance or capital markets audiences

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with risk, finance and capital markets teams

  • Experience in consumer lending or cards businesses

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with securitization structures, investor reporting or capital markets transactions

  • Demonstrable use of AI in your workflow

  • Experience presenting financial analysis to investors or rating agencies

  • Track record of improving model governance, documentation or validation processes

You’re a good fit if you’re:

  • Detail-oriented and rigorous. You take pride in model accuracy, data quality and clean governance

  • A clear communicator who can translate technical modelling outputs into plain language for finance and capital markets audiences

  • Comfortable owning processes end-to-end, from data extraction through to stakeholder-ready outputs

  • Curious and proactive, you seek out inconsistencies and improve processes before problems arise

  • Collaborative and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving environment

  • A structured thinker who can manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Passionate about using data and technology to improve financial decision-making
