Accountabilities:
- Designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, including data quality standards, metadata management, business glossaries, and policy definition
- Developing end-to-end data architecture and data flow models supporting analytics, AI/ML, and integration use cases
- Defining governance operating models, including roles, responsibilities, councils, success metrics, and decision-making structures
- Leading current-state assessments, identifying gaps, and building actionable roadmaps for data maturity and AI readiness
- Supporting implementation of data strategy across cloud platforms, data platforms, and modern architectures (e.g., data lakes, data mesh)
- Advising clients on data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239)
- Collaborating with technology vendors and internal teams to evaluate and implement governance and data management tools
- Contributing to business development activities, including proposals, solution design, and client engagement support
- Leading and mentoring teams while managing delivery quality, budgets, and project outcomes
- 5–10 years of experience in data governance, data strategy, or data management consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of enterprise data concepts such as MDM, data warehousing, and data quality frameworks
- Experience designing data governance operating models and enterprise-wide data strategies
- Familiarity with data governance and metadata tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, DataHub, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of cloud data ecosystems and modern architectures (Databricks, Microsoft Purview, data lakes, data mesh)
- Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or similar standards
- Understanding of DAMA/DMBOK principles and data management best practices
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and driving delivery excellence
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level presentations
- Ability to support AI readiness and analytics enablement through strong data governance foundations
- Competitive compensation with an estimated salary range of $160,000 – $180,000 USD
