You’ll be the central link between suppliers, internal teams, and clients — helping to keep engineering projects running efficiently, compliantly, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate global shipping and transportation of materials, components, and equipment.
  • Liaise with logistics providers to ensure compliance with customs and import/export regulations.
  • Track shipments, resolve delays, and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and customs forms.
  • Apply knowledge of customs compliance (e.g., HS codes) and act as the focal point for JCI Trade Compliance.
  • Optimise logistics processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Manage export packing internally and with third‑party craters, ensuring correct materials, markings, weights, and dimensions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agents on all export‑related matters.
  • Proactively expedite sub‑vendor orders and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance logistics processes and departmental operations.
  • Support the development of improved logistics methodologies.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the central point of contact for project logistics enquiries.
  • Facilitate clear communication between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Draft professional correspondence, including emails, letters, and memos.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager and Project Managers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong working relationships.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing, logistics, and project coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in logistics coordination, particularly international shipping and customs compliance.
  • Familiarity with procurement principles within engineering or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar industry standards.
  • Experience within electrical or mechanical engineering environments.
