Statistical Analyst Manager – Retail Measurement & ModelingFull-timeCompany DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to support modeling and analytics for retail measurement data within the Korean FMCG market.In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative team to solve client-driven business challenges. Rather than working independently, you will be assigned to projects by a team manager, partnering with cross-functional team members to define methodologies, align on analytical approaches, and shape client communication strategies.A key responsibility of this role is to develop and validate Universe (population) definitions and projection methodologies, ensuring that panel data is accurately expanded to reflect the overall market.Beyond analysis, you will play a critical role in translating data outputs into clear, compelling business narratives, explaining assumptions, methodologies, and reasoning directly to clients.Job DescriptionDevelop and maintain data models for FMCG / retail measurement in the Korean marketDesign, validate, and refine Universe setting and projection methodologies based on panel dataPerform data cleaning, processing, and quality validation to ensure robust outputCollaborate with internal teams to define analytical approaches and methodologies for client projectsTranslate analytical findings into clear, structured storytelling for client communicationPresent reasoning behind methodologies, assumptions, and outputs to clientsContinuously improve data quality, projection accuracy, and modeling approachesManage stakeholder expectations and contribute to effective project deliveryQualificationsBachelor’s degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related fieldAround 6+ years of experience in FMCG, retail measurement, consumer analytics, or related industriesHands-on experience with Python for data analysis and modeling (required)Solid understanding of data processing, statistical concepts, and modeling fundamentalsExperience working with SQL and large-scale datasetsStrong English communication skills (both written and spoken) — ability to effectively communicate with global teams and explain analytical outputs to clientsPreferred QualificationsExperience with consumer panel data, retail measurement, or similar datasetsHands-on experience with Universe building and projection methodologiesPrior experience working in a project-based, team-driven environmentExposure to stakeholder and client-facing rolesAdditional InformationOur BenefitsFlexible working environmentVolunteer time offLinkedIn LearningEmployee-Assistance-Program (EAP)NIQ may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools at various stages of the recruitment process, including résumé screening, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, job matching, communication support, and certain administrative tasks that help streamline workflows.
