IP Analytics team of Honeywell’s IP COE is a leading provider of IP project services to Honeywell SBGs. Our service portfolio includes patent search & analytics, patent prosecution, patent application drafting, strategic IP projects, competitive tech intelligence and Open source software compliance. We support SBG IP Counsels in managing their IP processes and portfolios.
As an IP Analyst I here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in protecting and managing Honeywell's intellectual property assets. You will support the IP team in developing and implementing IP strategies to safeguard Honeywell's innovations. Your expertise in patent laws will be essential in managing the IP portfolio and providing guidance to business units on IP matters.
Key Responsibilities
As an IP Analyst‑I, you will:
• Support patent prosecution activities and assist with patent application drafting
• Draft responses to office actions from US and non‑US patent offices
• Manage project delivery, including independently collaborating with engineering teams and IP counsels to develop office action response strategies
• Apply product and technology knowledge of the aligned business domain to deliver high‑quality work outputs
• Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on patent‑related matters
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science Engineering)
- 1-3 years of experience in intellectual property function (particularly, patent domain)
- Hands-on experience in patent prosecution

• Good patent prosecution experience, including drafting responses to US and non‑US office actions
• Patent application drafting experience as an added advantage
• Good understanding of US, EP, and Indian patent processes
• Familiarity with navigating Patent Office websites
• Ability to manage multiple expectations and conflicting priorities effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Capability to clearly communicate complex legal concepts to non‑legal stakeholders
